Heres an example of creative selection. Look the the image below.....
My brother wanted to use this image on a t-shirt. But as you can see
there was a problem with the left ear. In the original picture the
main portion of the ear was on the edge of the picture and was cut off.
That is not going to look too good, so we have to fix it. But what to do?
After thinking about it, I hit on what I thought was a creative solution.
I used my selection tool set at Point to Point and selected the right ear.
Then from the menu bar I selected Edit/Copy and then Edit/Paste/As New Layer.
This made a duplicate of the right ear on it's own layer. Then from the menu
bar I selected Image/Mirror which flipped the ear around, basically making it
look like a left ear.
Now all that remained was to do a little clean up around the left ear area
Then using the mover tool, slide my new ear into place

Presto..... Had you not seen it with your own eyes, you would probably not
realize the dog actually has 2 right ears.
