What follows is a little cloning project I did on a few locations around my town, Ritzville Wa. These are mouseovers, so simply placing your mouse cursor on the image will change it to display the cloned version.

The tricky part of this image was to replace the window pane that should appear behind the big sign, once it was removed from the front of the store. Since it was actually covered in the image, and I didn't know what it looked like, I had to use my imgination and create it from portions of the window that did appear in the picture.

I think at one time there must have been an awning that ran along the front of the building, as evidenced by the gray area along the front of the building. I cloned in some of the top/bottom area brick work to clean that up.

There was a sign and flad in front of the building that I also decided to remove. And since they happened to be casting a shadow when the picture was taken, that also had to be removed.

I also took out a few of the signs that were in the windows. There was one thing in the building next to it, specifically the upper floor window that was boarded up. To fix that little problem, I decided to simply cut/paste some of the window from the bottom.

And finally I decided to do a little street work and clean up the curb and street in front of the store.

Here we have the Bank of Whitman. This was a simply task. I just cleaned up the facade of the building alittle, and also cleaned up some the street a ways up the block. I took out the parked car, and removed some of the distractions on the street.

Finally, we have the Eagles here in town. This picture was fun to play with. The first thing I did was to remove the car. I had so much fun doing that, I decided to also remove the white booth in the front of the building. Again, I had to use my imagination to fill in the "blank" area with the window of the building next door, but that came out pretty nice.

Of course once tht was gone, I decided I also had to take out the bicycle. While I was at it, I decided to do a little housekeeping on the ally and clean it up a little.

And of course the phone lines had to go as well. And like the first image, I also cleaned up the street a little.

Well there you have it...... Cloning with Paint Shop Pro is not really differcult, but it does take patience. And like I say, when working with digital images, patience is the difference between "Oh, thats nice"... and "WOW! How the heck did you DO that!!!".
